About Indian Spa

Dubai has one of the largest Indian communities outside India, and its Indian spas reflect that heritage. The best-known treatment is Abhyanga, a flowing full-body massage with generous amounts of warm herbal oil, designed to relax muscles and calm the nervous system. Shirodhara — a steady stream of warm oil poured over the forehead — is the classic follow-up for stress and poor sleep, while potli (herbal pouch) massage uses heated bundles of herbs pressed along the body.

Many therapists working in Dubai's Indian spas trained in Kerala, the home of these techniques, and centers cluster in Al Karama, Bur Dubai, Al Qusais and Al Nahda, with upscale options in hotel spas across the city. Expect to pay roughly AED 100 to 250 for a 60-minute session in neighbourhood centers and more at resort spas.

Note that this category lists relaxation spas rather than medical Ayurveda clinics — if you are seeking treatment for a health condition, consult a licensed practitioner. For a relaxing oil massage after a long week, however, few traditions match the depth of an Indian spa. Most centers here answer WhatsApp enquiries quickly, including questions about oil types and therapist availability.
